Antelope & Castle Cricket Club
Fantasy Cricket

1996 saw the first successful year of our fantasy cricket competition, where club members paid 50p to get a two player combination. The highest average 2 player combination at the end of the league season won. Simple? No, well here's how it works:

So how do you score points?

A player scores points in each league game depending on his or her performance, based on the following points system:
Batting Bowling Fielding
1 point per run scored 25 points per wicket 10 points per catch
10 points for "did not bat" 20 points for 5 wickets -10 points per dropped catch
10 points for "not out" 50 points for a "hat trick" -2 points per run mis-fielded
10 points for 50 runs or 5 points per "maiden over" 10 points per run out (5 points per player if not a direct hit)
50 points for 100 runs -1 point per run conceded
-20 points for a "duck" or -2 points per "extra" (no balls & wides) 10 points per stumping
-50 points for a "golden duck" -2 points per bye (wicket keeper only)
-10 points for "run out"
-10 points for "stumped"

The player's average points per game are worked out over the season, based on the Captain's report of the game. The links below show how some of our players performed in previous years.
