Held again at the Otterbourne village hall.
Fairly well attended by the seniors and well attended by the colts.

1st Team
Batsman - John Ham
Bowler - Alan Hurst

2nd Team
Batsman - Lindsay Baldwin
Bowler - Steve Paul

Player of the year - Steve Paul

Good to see all the colts there as they are no doubt the future of the club and a couple have already tasted the standard in the 2nds. As well as a few Sunday games.

Ladies XI Success!
Our season was a short one due to the collapse of the Hampshire League. We won 6 and lost 1 hence maintaining our good record. Some high points include Lucy Hartwell and Sarah Conlon scoring unbeaten half centuries; Jemma Green taking two five wickets hauls, which included a hat-trick and Emma McMillan scoring a career best 72* against Rowledge.

We have already played some matches in the new Hampshire Women's Indoor League, a six aside competition over the winter. Won 8 out of 9 so far with only 2 games remaining so looking good for some more silverware!

Next season we will be joining the Women's Southern League (a restructure of the National League) in order to play competitive cricket again.

Fundraiser for the season
We will be running a lottery bonus ball weekly draw, with a weekly prize of £35. Normal rollover rule will apply.

Cost will be £1 a week, hopefully that number will be sold to the same person for the duration 1st May to 28th August.

Ground News
All home matches will be played at the Waterworks ground, Otterbourne.

A lot of pre-season work has already been done

Colin Day is now our Groundsman.

The wicket has been scarified and deep spiked.

Next step is first cut, when practicable, and fertilized.

The tree that used to be a 4 not a six, has been removed completely.  Thanks go to Southern Water for this.

A new fence has been erected on the South boundary.

New sightscreens are in hand.

An extension to the pavilion is due to be completed by the start of the season - thanks again to Southern Water.

The outfield is getting flatter every week.  Many thanks to Don Smith for his efforts with 'his' roller.  With the regular outfield cutting programme scheduled there is now a slight possibility that Shaggy may even stop a ball?

As a result of all the above:

The HCL have granted us permission to play all Saturday cricket at our new 'HOME'.

Sunday Fixtures
Phil Wilson is our Sunday captain this season and is keen for all players to be available for selection.
