| Skid Awareness Training | ||||||||||
| Driving safely within the limits of the road conditions so that you are able to avoid getting into a skid is far better than having to correct one. When faced with a developing skid however, it is important to recognise the cause and react quickly to regain control to avoid making the skid worse. |
Interesting Fact The last quarter of the year - October-December, is the most dangerous on the roads in the UK, with 28.1% of all fatalities occurring - this coincides with the clocks going back 1 hour and darker journeys home from work |

| Our course module focuses on the ways to minimise the risks of getting into situations where a skid might develop by observing and understanding weather conditions, anticipating and coping with adverse road conditions and ensuring that the vehicle is correctly prepared and maintained. Recognising the different types of skid and developing various techniques appropriate to the individual’s vehicle are also covered. | ||||||||||
| This training course may be appropriate if the risk assessments show that you have employees driving in area / countries where snow is common, or your crash database shows that you have a lot of collisions during adverse weather conditions, or where employees lost control of their vehicles. It is also a lot of fun, so can help motivate you employees. | ||||||||||
