| When driving at night or in any poor lighting conditions, your ability to see the road and surrounding environment ahead reduces. Drivers often do not recognise this change and drive so that they are unable to stop safely within the distance they can see to be clear. |
Interesting Fact It is an offence to use front or rear fog lights when the visibility is greater than 100m - this is to prevent them dazzling other road users. How many drivers forget to turn them off or use them at the first sign of light drizzle? |

| Our course module is designed to help drivers understand the extra hazards when driving in poor light as well as ways to overcome difficulties from poor visibility. As fatigue and stress are also likely to be experienced in these conditions, it may be appropriate to include this training modules, along with scheduling / route planning, in conjunction with our night driving training module to minimise the risks of employees being involved in crashes during the night. | ||||||||||
| This training course may be appropriate if the risk assessments show that you have employees making regular journeys at night or if the crash analysis shows that you are having a high number of crashes after dark.. | ||||||||||
