| Many drivers do not give a second thought to the security of their vehicle or, more worryingly, themselves. There are many simple precautions that can minimise the theft of, or of items from a vehicle, as well as steps that can be taken to minimise the risks of a physical assault. | Our course module gives employees practical tips on how to minimise their personal risks, such as how to park safely, and a procedure to use when arriving at an unfamiliar destination after dark. It also covers vehicle (and in-vehicle items) security issues to minimise the chances of theft. Practical tips on everyday situations, such as petrol station security, are also covered. | ||||||||||
| This training may be appropriate if the risk assessment shows that employees are vulnerable to physical assault, such as lone women drivers, regular users of multi-story car parks and those who regularly arrive after dark at unfamiliar destinations. | ||||||||||
