| Overseas Driving Awareness Training | ||||||||||
| Driving overseas will increase the risk of an employee being involved in a crash. There are a number of issues involved from the the more dangerous roads through to employees driving in unfamiliar vehicles (e.g. hire cars that they pick up at the airport) and in unfamiliar environments, where local laws and customs will exist and traffic and directional signs may be in an unfamiliar language. |
Interesting Fact The UK has some of the statistically safest roads in Europe - we have a fatality rate of 6 per billion miles - one of our favorite holiday destinations, Spain, comes bottom of the league with 28 fatalities per billion miles |

| Our course module raises the awareness of these issues and can be focused on specific countries and/or specific journey types. Trainees will learn about local laws and driving customs / habits that differ from those in the UK, and will include personal security issues, as well as what to check for before driving a hire car for the first time. | ||||||||||
| This training course may be appropriate if your crash database shows that you have a lot of collisions overseas, or the risk assessment shows that employees drive overseas as part of their work, or are allowed to take company-owned vehicles overseas. | ||||||||||
