| Fatigue & Stress Management Training | ||||||||||
| Fatigue is one of the biggest causes of collisions in the UK, and is a bigger problem with occupational drivers due to the long hours that are often worked, either before or during the journey. There are many causes of fatigue, which all drivers suffer from, but there are particular areas unique to occupational drivers, deriving mainly from the pressures of work. This course is often combined with our ergonomics training, as poor in-vehicle posture will give rise to a faster onset of fatigue. |
Interesting Fact 13% of all convictions for drink-driving in the UK happen 'the morning after', when drivers think that they are fit to drive |

| Our course module looks at the whole issue of fatigue, from the causes - both from an employee's private life and also their work activities - through to practical suggestions on how to minimise their risk of falling asleep at the wheel. We also cover stress management, as it relates to driving, as stressed employees will suffer the onset of fatigue quicker than a relaxed employee. | ||||||||||
| This training course may be appropriate if the risk assessments show that you have employees covering high mileages, or you have collisions where the route cause is identified as fatigue. | ||||||||||
