  Crash Management Training
When a driver is involved in a crash, regardless of severity, rational thought is often replaced by anger, confusion and bewilderment, and drivers often put themselves at increased risk of harm due to their actions after the crash.  The biggest issue is with their own, and their passengers personal safety following the crash.

Interesting Fact

A study in Seattle, Washington in the US found that of 26,000 people involved in car crashes, those weighing 100-119kg were almost 2½ times more likely to die than those weighing less than 60kg - this may be because they are more likely to fall asleep at the wheel

Our course module focuses on what to do following a crash, to minimise the risk of further injury to the vehicle occupants and of secondary collisions.  It also covers basic casualty management (although for comprehensive advice in this area a first-aid course should be considered), who to contact and with what information, and the important do's and don'ts.  As drivers will often have adrenaline pumping around their bodies, this training gives them a step-by-step easy to follow procedure on what to do after a crash, to decreases the risks that they will put themselves in more danger after escaping from the initial crash.

This training may be appropriate if your employees are involved in a high number of crashes - the average fleet crash rate is c.25% per year, although there are no figures available for all occupational drivers.
