  Drug & Alcohol Awareness Training
Whilst there is obviously a lot of personal responsibility involved on behalf of the driver, employers still have a duty of care towards their employees on this issue, as the risks are so well known.  Apart from a hard-core group of violators, most employees would be appalled to think that they drove drunk, but that is exactly what many unwittingly do 'the morning after'.  The incidences of drug-driving are also on the increase, and the chances are some of your employees are using drugs, whether they are 'recreational' or on prescription, that could increase their risk of being involved in a crash

Interesting Fact

It takes surprisingly drink to see you over the limit 'the morning after' - 2 pints of lager, ½ a bottle of wine and a large whiskey nightcap could mean that you are unfit to drive first thing in the morning!

We offer a variety of course modules, in conjunction with a strategic partner specialising in this field, that are designed to help employees raise their awareness of the issue and give them the knowledge to know when they will be free from the effects of alcohol or drugs.  Course modules are also available focused on the needs of managers & supervisors, to give them the same knowledge, and help them to identify employees who may be still 'under the influence'.

This training course is appropriate for all employees, as this is a widespread issue.  In organisations where there is a 'drinking culture' this is especially relevant.  It should also be considered before any office parties, as traditionally very large amounts of alcohol are consumed at these events, and it can many hours before employees are alcohol free.
